Salamander hot sauces, billed as the world’s most unique hot sauces that combine delicious depth and complexity while balancing tantalizing flavor and fire, launched its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. “I love hot spicy food but I just can’t find commercial hot sauces that I enjoy, so to solve this problem I decided to create my own. Rather than creating yet another vinegar-based concoction or one of those flavorless sauces whose only claim to greatness is their searing heat, I have taken hot sauces in a new direction,” stated Tim Kavarnos, Salamander Sauces Creator.

Kavarnos’ philosophy is simple – hot sauces should be hot, but the heat should be matched by the flavor, the sauces should be made with the freshest locally sourced ingredients possible, and the sauces should be all natural. Following these principles Tim has created sauces which tantalize the palate with depth of flavor while still delivering a good hearty kick – sauces which compliment a wide variety of foods – sauces that balance flavor and fire.

The Salamander Hot Sauce campaign can be seen on Kickstarter.

Tim’s fascination of peppers began years ago, while living in Rhode Island. In Tim’s garden there were sixteen different types of hot peppers being grown. “I would make fresh salsas, chili and even dry them for my own crushed pepper. In 2001 I decided it was time for a change. I moved to Brooklyn NY and picked up jobs in restaurants while trying to figure out what to do next. After settling in a Park Slope restaurant I began making hot sauce for fun and bringing it to work. My coworkers began to ask me when I was going to bring in more. A short time later my good friend Jeff announced he was opening a restaurant and wanted the hot sauce in his kitchen, and so it began. Jeff’s restaurant, Backyard, opened on Fifth Ave in Park Slope, Brooklyn in the spring of 2012. The sauce was a hit. Shortly thereafter I teamed up Jeff and offered a hot sauce tasting featuring five unique sauces and the people went crazy. The next step was to follow my passion and start The Salamander Sauce Company,” concluded Kavarnos.

Salamander Original sauce was just awarded 4.5 out of 5 stars by Billy Delaney of Tasty Sauces. Tasty Sauces was created to address the lack of consistency and objectivity in sauce reviews The video review can be seen here on YouTube.

It is for reasons like this, that we have found sending a magnum of champagne to be a class act for individuals that cannot or simply do not want to attend that certain event. The company that we found is able to provide a selection of different liquors as well as provide next-day shipping also included in one price. My Three Favorite Chain Italian Restaurants

My Three Favorite Chain Italian Restaurants:

When you’re in the mood for a nice bowl of pasta any of these three big Italian restaurants can typically be counted on to serve you a nice meal.  It’s impossible to beat the quality and authenticity of small locally owned Italian places and these are certainly not comparable but sometimes when cost is an option or you’re in an unfamiliar town these are great standbys.

The Olive Garden:

Probably the biggest of the three The Olive Garden is well known for it’s bottomless salad and always warm breadsticks.  One of my favorite things about the Olive Garden is that they are always adding limited time offerings to their menu so I feel like there is always something new to choose from.  The other great thing about the Olive Garden is the cost.  Not only are they always offering coupons like the ones found here but they are constantly running specials like their current offering 2 for $25 lunch deal which can’t be beat.  So the next time you’re in the mood for some pasta primavera get into The Olive Garden as they no doubt have a location near you.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill

Carrabba’s is always a solid choice. However they are not as prevalent across the United states as The Olive Garden.  Their menu does seem to have some extremely fresh offerings though like the Pollo Caprese which is one of my personal favorites.  Another thing they do well is flatbreads.  The shrimp & tomato flatbread they make while not low in calories and bad for my waistline is really wonderful.  Prices vary by location but in my personal experience they tend to be a little bit more expensive here than at the Olive Garden.

Romano’s Macaroni Grill

This article wouldn’t be complete without tipping our hat to Romano’s! I always feel like I’m at home when dining here. The on your honor wine system where you pour your own wine family style is a nice touch. I’m sure they have a way to make sure you’re not taking more than your fair share without paying for it but it’ seems like authentic Italy.  One of the things I enjoy about Romano’s is their twists on classic Italian dishes.  Especially in their Antipasti section of the menu things like Italian Nachos and Pomodorina Soup are great dishes that you should try.  Pricing here is comparable with Carrabba’s and seems just slightly more expensive to me than the Olive Garden.

So there you have it. My favorite three big  box Italian restaurants.  I don’t know if I could pick an absolute favorite as they all have some great things to offer.  So the next time you’re looking for a nice meal and dining at your favorite local spot isn’t an option consider trying of these very satisfying options.  It’s always a good idea to keep your eyes out for Olive Garden coupons and current specials the other places are running!

As a sister, daughter, aunt, niece, mother and grandmother- I know how hard it can be to find a good restaurant that feel good family ambience. It’s my duty in life to make my family feel loved, and that’s why I always like to pick out the best family restaurants- where we can chat, laugh, eat, and bond. There’s an old saying which says, “A family that prays together, stays together”. I also believe, “A family that dines together, shines together”. That’s why we love going to canmore canada vacation rentals

My favorite family restaurant in Canmore is Craigs’ Way Station. It’s been running strong for the past 30 years- so they must be doing something right! The atmosphere is welcoming and loving- equipped with comfy booth seats, a cobble stone fireplace, and a timber post and beam interior.

The menu is vast- featuring a lot of AAA Alberta beef, but also chicken dishes, sandwiches, pastas and Canadian favorites. They also have vegetarian options (although not too many), if there are any rabbit munchers in your family. Craigs’ Way Station is known for their All-Day breakfasts- great for a lazy day or before a strenuous hike in the mountains. You must try it- they won “Best Breakfast” in the Canmore Leader Reader’s Choice Awards.

Below are my family and my favorite dishes:

They have a large selection of different breakfast options. The Chicken or Mushroom Eggs Benedict is super hearty and perfect if you are craving something heavy. The fluffy eggs, paired with the fixings and creamy Benedict Sauce will cut any hunger pains right in the belly. They have over 10 omelet choices- our favorites are the Smoked Salmon & Chives with goat cheese, and the Chicken Sausage & Mushrroom with fried capers. The blueberry pancakes are fluffy, with the perfect amount of large juicy berries, drizzled with maple syrup and a dollop of butter.

There are also many choices for lunch and dinner. We love the hearty baked lasagna with sharp cheddar cheese, and the Homemade Beef Burgers loaded with toppings.
